Overnight ratings are in for last night’s SmackDown on FOX and the show did its second best number since April 17.
The show averaged 2.089 million viewers, up 3.6 percent from last week. The first hour averaged 2.147 million viewers and the show then fell five percent in the second hour to 2.031 million, a drop in the usual range for SmackDown.
In the key demo numbers, SmackDown averaged a 0.3 rating in 18-34 for the third straight week. That topped all of network TV, which is running mostly repeat programming.
Also for the third straight week, SmackDown did a 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demo. That beat everything on the networks except for a new episode of 20/20 on ABC.
In terms of total viewers, SmackDown’s numbers were able to pull FOX out of the basement for the night as the show beat NBC programming. FOX is usually last on Friday nights among the major networks.
