WWE SmackDown ratings up for final build to SummerSlam
Posted On July 4, 2020
SmackDown’s go-home show for SummerSlam averaged 2.088 million viewers on the USA Network, up nine percent from last week. With Raw also being up this week, SmackDown retained the usual 84 percent of Monday night’s audience.
SmackDown finished seventh for the night in terms of total cable TV viewers and finished first in the 18-49 demo with a 0.63 rating. The rating in that important demographic even beat network TV programming on FOX and CBS, trailing NBC for the full two hours and the first hour of ABC programming.
SmackDown was only down five percent from the same week in 2018, the third time in the last four weeks that the year-over-year decline has been in the single digits.
Miz and Mrs, which followed SmackDown on USA, averaged 1.057 million viewers. It was third in the 18-49 demo with a 0.39 rating. It was the highest viewership for the show in the current run of episodes and the third highest total since August 2018.
Here’s a look at the last 10 weeks of SmackDown viewership as compared to Raw’s from the same week:
