WWE Pulls Cena Shirt After Being Threatened By Pabst Blue Ribbon
WWE’s brand new John Cena t-shirt, which was clearly inspired by Pabst Blue Ribbon, has been pulled from the official WWEShop.com merchandise website.
Shortly after WWE began promoting the new Cena t-shirt, Pabst Blue Ribbon’s official Twitter page threatened WWE with legal action with the following message, which was quite cleverly worded:
A message to @JohnCena & the @WWE: We have a chokehold called the Cease & Desist. Pretty sure we see you pic.twitter.com/AKWjUEXiUj

Since the tweet, WWE has released the following message regarding the situation to pro wrestling website, ProWrestlingSheet.com.
“As a content creator, WWE respects trademarks and intellectual property, and therefore will not proceed selling the merchandise, despite it being an original design clearly within fair use.”
