Last night’s WWE Raw was main headlined by the highly anticipated Ultimate Deletion match between Woken Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt and it was a huge hit on social media.
The match gained hundreds of thousands of tweets after the show had ended and remained trending #1 worldwide and in several major cities after Raw had finished, which is a good sign for how the match was received.
It was noted in a report by PWInsider.com that the producer of the match was Michael P.S. Hayes, but Jeremy Borash, who was heavily involved in the original Broken Universe, was also involved in this match. Some of the footage was also filmed by Matt’s wife, Rebecca Hardy, who also did some of the editing and composed the original music that was played in the match.

The match, of course, showcased the debut of Brother Nero, which was certainly an interesting point considering Jeff’s recent DUI, but it is worth noting that Hardy has been working out at the WWE Performance Center this week, so it will be interesting to see where this goes with him.
The true success of the match, at least in the eyes of WWE higher-ups will be what the ratings were for the final hour of the show, which was largely dominated by the Ultimate Deletion. It is also unknown at this stage what the plans are for Wyatt’s character moving forwards.
Both Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy were backstage at Raw last night and it is interesting to note that WWE did not air the match for the live crowd and instead went to dark segments to close the show, such as the appearance by Ronda Rousey.
