Shoe and leather fair GDS/GLS Dusseldorf is back on their way up and is looking to improve even more. For September 2008 the largest changes are planned, but already more brands from Italy and UK will be on display during the upcoming edition on 14 – 16 March 2008. Next season will see the debut of Calvin Klein, Belle by Sigerson Morisson, Nebuloni, Ruggeri, ?Shubiz, Shoto, Ska Italia en Panzarasa
Childrenswear will receive new input too and will be enhanced with Diesel Kid. “The segment for children is always quite difficult,” says Kirstin Deutelmoser, who since May 2007 is responsible for both trade fairs. “The problem is that many brands not onlyproduce children shoes, but also childrenswear and present everything together. This is a bit tricky for buyers who are solely interested in children shoes.” This the reason why an especially organised ‘Kids business brunch’ is taking place in the children shoe area ‘Kidwalk’. The theme will be ‘Kids as purchase makers – which role play children in the buying process?’.
The last edition of shoe trade fair GDS/GLS and global shoes & accessories Dusseldorf attracted 33.500 visitors. Since the last several years the numbers are going up again, which is GDS/GLS to stimulate with future improvements.
