According to Tokyo Sports, NJPW star Tetsuya Naito was named MVP of the pro wrestling world in 2017.
This is the second year in a row Naito has won the award, which is given to the wrestler who the media outlet feels has done the most for his specific promotion, and Naito joins previous winners such as Kazuchika Okada and Antonio Inoki.
Top Impact Matches Set
As noted, Impact Wrestling announced last night’s show would be the final Impact of the year, with the show resuming again in January, 2018. Impact also announced the following matches will take place on the first show of the new year:
-Alberto El Patron vs Eli Drake for the Impact Global Championship
-Matt Sydal vs Fallah Bahh vs EC3 for the Impact Grand Championship
-Taiji Ishimori vs Trevor Lee for the X-Division Championship
