Talks at an ‘advanced stage’ to allow PL fans back in stadiums

A report claims that Premier League clubs are set to welcome back fans in stadiums next season with governments talks reaching an ‘advanced stage’.

No supporters have been allowed in football grounds around the country since the resumption of Premier League and EFL fixtures but all that could change soon.

The Daily Mail claims they have seen a memo that says conversations about partial stadium openings are at an ‘advanced stage’ with the Government announcement expected ‘very soon’.

Premier League clubs are ‘working towards September 12’ as a potential start date which has raised ‘concerns that they do not have much time to implement the necessary measures’.

One of the biggest issues about allowing fans back into grounds is their ‘arrival and departure’ which could be ‘staggered’ under potential new rules.

The Daily Mail adds: ‘Some of the key issues on which clubs are looking for feedback from fans are:

‘How to fairly distribute tickets if, as expected, capacities are reduced
‘Whether fans would be happy to disclose their health details
‘How they would travel to games and if they would feel safe taking public transport to matches
‘Whether season-ticket holders would be satisfied with not sitting in their normal seats’
