Posted On July 14, 2020
Prior to last night’s episode of SmackDown LIVE which emanated from The Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas, WWE taped the following matches to air on The WWE Network as part of tonight’s episode of 205 Live:
– Drew Gulak def. The Brian Kendrick.
– Ariya Daivari def. A Local Enhancement Talent via referee stoppage after Daivari pounded on the jobber.
– The Lucha House Party def. TJP & Mike Kanellis in a Texas Tornado Tag Team Match.
There is no word yet on when The Velveteen Dream will return to WWE NXT TV as he did not work the recent TV Tapings from Full Sail University. Dream did return to the ring at weekend NXT Live Events in Florida, picking up wins over Kona Reeves & Luke Menzies. Dream’s last TV match came at TakeOver: War Games II during Survivor Series weekend – the loss to NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa.
There is still no word yet on if there are plans to do Rusev vs. WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura at The December 16th TLC PPV Event but Rusev continued the feud on last night’s episode of SmackDown LIVE. As seen in the video below, Kayla Braxton interviewed Rusev & Lana backstage at the show. Rusev promised to feast on Nakamura the next time he gets his hands on him. Nakamura did not appear on the show last night.
