The subject of Rey Mysterio’s future in WWE has been a hot topic since the former World Champion appeared at both of WWE’s Royal Rumble events this year, with the most recent reports suggesting Mysterio is still in talks with WWE about a potential return.
As we noted earlier today, the city of San Diego honored Mysterio today by naming June 19th “619 Day”, and during a press conference held today for the naming of the day, Mysterio provided a big update on his WWE future.
According to Lucha Central, at the press conference, Mysterio revealed he and WWE are currently negotiating a three-year deal which would see the master of the 619 return to WWE.
It is unknown what type of deal is being discussed between Mysterio and WWE, as previous reports indicated Mysterio is not interested in working a full-time schedule with the company, so it remains to be seen if WWE will acquiesce to Mysterio’s wishes and giant him a part-time schedule.
