Marcus Rashford is set to be offered a bumper new contract by Manchester United, according to reports.
The forward has been an integral player for Man United ever since he broke through during the 2015/16 campaign.
Since then he has gone onto make 234 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions. Rashford currently has 79 goals and 45 assists in the senior ranks at United.
MAILBOX: Man Utd treble winners are way above any other English sides…
Rashford had his best goalscoring season last term as he bagged 22 goals from his 44 outings in all competitions.
The 23-year-old is on track to break that record once again this campaign. He has started the new season superbly as he has scored 12 and assisted five from 20 appearances.
Now The Daily Star are reporting that United are ready to offer Rashford fresh terms for a new contract with the club.
The forward’s current deal expires in 2023, though this has an option of a further year. But Man United wish to offer him a new deal that would fend off any interest from clubs around Europe.
The report adds that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are willing to make Rashford one of their highest earners by offering him a deal that is worth around £300,000 p/w.
So with Spurs looking to recover, Leeds looking for satisfaction, Southampton looking to keep going and Arsenal looking for just literally anything, you could call this a Big Weekend.
