Gabby Agbonlahor says you can’t “blame” Mesut Ozil for wanting to get “every penny” out of Arsenal before leaving.
Reports have claimed that Ozil will join Fenerbahce imminently, while he has also been linked with a move to Major League Soccer side DC United.
However, talkSPORT claims that doubts have emerged over either clubs ability to pay Ozil’s wages, meaning any deal could have to wait until the summer when the German’s contract expires.

Ozil was given a new £350,000-a-week contract in February 2018 and Arsenal are now reportedly very keen to get him off their wage bill.
The 32-year-old seems pretty relaxed about the situation, though, and former Aston Villa captain Agbonlahor thinks Ozil should rinse Arsenal for “every penny” before he leaves.
Agbonlahor told talkSPORT: “Clubs treat players badly when they don’t want them, let’s not be fooled here.
“Yes, Ozil has done things that he maybe shouldn’t have done and the way he’s acted…But no one forced Arsenal to give him £350,000-a-week… take every penny!
“Why should he say, ‘I love Arsenal and I’m going to leave seven or eight million on the table and move because I love the club’?
“No! Why should he? When the club don’t want you, they’d be the first to throw you in the Under-23s and make you train on your own.
“So I’m all for players getting what they’re contracted to get. I don’t blame him for sitting there and getting every penny.”
