Ole reacts to stat showing he’s had a better PL start than Klopp

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given his reaction to a stat that compares his record in his first 29 Premier League matches in charge of Manchester United to Jurgen Klopp’s at Liverpool.

United have claimed just nine points from their opening eight games in the Premier League and are 12th in the table, 15 points behind leaders Liverpool.

However, Solskjaer‘s brilliant record in temporary charge at United – before getting the job on a permanent basis – means his record in his first 29 Premier League games is better than Klopp‘s first 29 in charge at Liverpool.

Speaking about the statistic, Solskjaer said: “I don’t hold on to stats like this. I’m just working as planned, business as usual, we are trying to improve the team and we are trying to work toward something.

“We are heading somewhere, we feel, but we need results and we need and expect the players to come out and prove why they’re at Man United.”

The Red Devils host their arch-rivals on Sunday with Solskjaer’s men hoping to inflict Liverpool’s first defeat of the season.
