People are being lynched in India almost every day and what we are doing is just exchanging letters. On the one hand a group of people ask questions of the government on their inability to stop these incidents, while on the other there is a group ready to defend the government and counter question the intention of those who raise alarm. The ultimate loser in all this are the victims of mob lynchings.
The condition is more alarming because not only common people, but also men in uniform and in some cases on duty are being lynched by violent mobs.
A 64-year-old retired Army captain was killed by unidentified men in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, the police said on Sunday.
