More Rumored Matches For WWE’s Upcoming Extreme Rules PPV Event
Posted On July 21, 2020
WWE’s next PPV known as Extreme Rules is about two more weeks away and the card for the show is already looking stacked from top to bottom. Already announced for the PPV are WWE Champion AJ Styles defending his WWE Title against Rusev, RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss defending her RAW Women’s Title against Nia Jax, RAW Tag Team Champions The Deleter Of Worlds (“Woken” Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt) defending their RAW Tag Team Titles against The B-Team (Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel), SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella defending her SmackDown Women’s Title against Asuka and SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Bludgeon Brothers (Harper & Rowan) defending their SmackDown Tag Team Titles against Team Hell No (Daniel Brian & Kane).
WWE is currently building towards a Sasha Banks vs. Bayley Match at Extreme Rules based on the storylines, but it might be a match that WWE will want to hold off on until SummerSlam. The reason for this would be that the SummerSlam Match would be taking place in the same area where Bayley and Banks each had their career-best matches over the NXT Women’s Title. Other matches that are being considered for Extreme Rules are Jeff Hardy vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, Kevin Owens vs. Braun Strowman in a Steel Cage Match, The Usos vs. SAnitY and Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins for The Intercontinental Title.
