As we noted moments ago, Impact Wrestling announced it has officially terminated its business relationship with Jeff Jarrett and Global Force Wrestling, effective immediately.
According to PWInsider.com, the decision to part ways with Jarrett was made within the past few days. It was also noted that Jarrett leaving Impact will not affect the final installment of the Amped Anthology PPV series which has one episode left. That PPV will be airing as scheduled.
Additionally, PWInsider reports Impact Wrestling has declined to comment on the Jarrett situation, and has declined to comment on Karen Jarrett’s status with the company.
In somewhat related news, Jeff Jarrett was scheduled to appear for RCW, a Canadian Independent promotion, over the weekend, however he did not appear as scheduled. RCW promoter Steven Ewaschuki issued the following statement on Jarrett absence via Facebook:
“RCW has the unfortunate news to report that Jeff Jarrett will be not appearing at tonight’s event in Edmonton due to reasons beyond the company’s control as Jeff Jarrett has boarded a plane and left the country on his own accord this morning. Jeff Jarrett did appear last night in Calgary at the RCW event but again has chosen to leave the country due to his own issues.”
