Man Utd ‘ready to bide their time’ over Sancho with options limited

Man Utd won’t rush into making an offer for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho with a lack of competition for the England international, according to reports.
Sancho was among the substitutes against RB Leipzig on Saturday as Erling Haaland’s brace ensured Dortmund would finish runners up in the Bundesliga behind Bayern Munich, who secured their eighth consecutive title with a midweek win over Werder Bremen.
The 20-year-old has scored 17 goals and provided 17 assists in the league this season as his reputation as one of the best young players in Europe has continued to soar.

Sancho is Man Utd’s top summer transfer target, as they look to find a solution to their right-wing problem, but Dortmund’s £100million valuation is proving to be a point of contention.
However, the Daily Mail claims that Man Utd are ‘ready to bide their time this summer to put pressure on the German club to reduce their demands’.
Despite possessing financial muscle that most clubs would be jealous of, Man Utd ‘are still unwilling to pay over the odds for Sancho’.
And Man Utd are in no rush with Real Madrid more interested in pursuing a deal for Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kai Havertz, ‘while Liverpool have reservations over the size of the fee for Sancho’.
That means that the Red Devils’ only competition could come from Manchester City as a ‘return to City remains an option’.
The Daily Mail adds: ‘United are aware that being able to offer the former Watford trainee Champions League football could be an important factor in signing him, but not a deal breaker according to sources.’
