Man United target’s price drops dramatically as swap mooted

Man United could sign Wolves striker Raul Jimenez for as little as £17.9m, according to a nonsensical report.
Man United were linked with Jimenez as far back as January, when his price was reported to be closer to £100m.
Wolves signed Jimenez permanently for £32m towards the end of last season, and has scored 22 goals in 44 appearances this season.
Wolves are better suited to be predators than prey…
That sort of form also attracted Tottenham, but the global pandemic and suspension of the Premier League has had an adverse effect on transfer valuations.
It has now been claimed that Wolves could settle for almost half of their initial Jimenez outlay for the Man United target, which seems unlikely given he has three years left on his Molineux contract.
TuttoJuve nevertheless report ‘continued’ interest from Juventus in the Mexican forward, who ‘would have a quote of around €20 million’.
Juventus could even offer a player exchange with Gonzalo Higuain headed back to the Premier League, as the Argentina striker ‘is very liked’ by Nuno Espirito Santo.
But Higuain’s wages would pose a ‘problem’ for Wolves and their current payment structure.
Jimenez discussed his own future in March, stating: “It’s not that we have to qualify for the Champions League in order to stay.
“I’m good,” he added. “Happy with Wolves, doing important things – me as well as the whole team.
“We’ve been trying our best since the start of last season. We’ve qualified for the Europa League, now we’re fighting for a Champions League spot.
“And it’s the big motivation to keep growing as a player and getting into the Champions League is always a plus that satisfies you and keeps you thinking about big things.”
