Liverpool boss Klopp responds to Thiago transfer question

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has again addressed speculation that Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara could be moving to Anfield this summer.
Reports from Germany on Thursday, this time in Munich-based newspaper Abendzeitung claimed that Thiago ‘sees his future’ at Liverpool with Klopp believing that the Spaniard would provide him with the ‘missing piece of the puzzle’.
The asking price apparently remains a stumbling block with Liverpool wanting to pay €25m instead of Bayern’s valuation of €35m but the newspaper is confident that a ‘compromise can be found’.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola recently endorsed the Reds’ reported move for the midfielder by saying Klopp would be getting an “exceptional player”.
And now Klopp has responded to the Thiago speculation when questioned by Sky Germany, he said: “I have no idea who will play for me next year, there is nothing to say at the moment.
“Thiago Alcantara is a great player, but also a Bayern Munich player. That’s actually all there is to say. There’s nothing to say!”
Meanwhile, Liverpool icon Didi Hamann recently urged Klopp to sign Thiago to upgrade his “workhorse” midfield.
“He doesn’t quite fit the profile of the Reds’ transfer policy at his age,” Hamann told Abendzeitung. “Regardless, a transfer would make sense in my eyes.
“Jurgen Klopp has more workhorses in his midfield with Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and Naby Keita. He could use an intricate technical player like Thiago well.
“On the other hand, he will surely have a new contract at Bayern waiting to be signed. I would be surprised if he was not offered a lot to stay.”
