This Wednesday, Jon Moxley will compete in his very first match since leaving WWE behind, and shocking the world with his surprise debut in the closing moments of AEW Double or Nothing.
Moxley has officially arrived at the NJPW Dojo in Tokyo, where he is training for his upcoming match against IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Champion Juice Robinson – a man who has become innately familiar with the hallowed halls of the Dojo over the course of his run with the promotion.
The history between Moxley and Robinson goes back years to their time together in FCW, and later NXT, back when they were known as Dean Ambrose and CJ Parker.
Years later, the former is on his way out of WWE a house hold name, a former world champion and one third of one of the most famous factions in the history of the business. But Juice, the reigning IWGP U.S. Champion, is looking to prove that he has also evolved since their days together in developmental.
The bout goes down this Wednesday during the NJPW Best of the Super Juniors finals at the historic Ryugoku Sumo Hall. The entire event will be broadcast live on NJPW World with English commentary, kicking off at 5:30 AM ET.
