Ince warns Arsenal to prepare for ‘frustrated’ Aubameyang exit

Paul Ince thinks Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will look to leave the club in the summer transfer window if things don’t improve at Arsenal.

Wolves recovered from a serious injury to striker Raul Jimenez to record their first league win at Arsenal in over 40 years on Sunday.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side rallied to win 2-1 as Pedro Neto and Daniel Podence struck either side of a Gabriel Magalhaes header to earn a deserved victory.

The result leaves Arsenal 14th in the Premier League table after ten matches, with the Gunners’ victory at Manchester United their only win in their last six league matches.

That match against Man Utd was the last time that Aubameyang scored for Mikel Arteta’s men after he fired his eighth Premier League blank of the season versus Wolves.

And Ince reckons Arsenal could be running the risk of losing the Gabon international if their fortunes don’t improve.

“‘Aubameyang for me is a worry,” Ince told DAZN.

“He looks frustrated. He looks like he’s not getting enough service. If he doesn’t get service – even though he signed a three-year contract- I can’t see him being there next year. I really, really can’t.

“I don’t care [if he’s signed a new deal]. It looks like he’s got that sort of body language that he’s just not happy. It doesn’t look right.”

Arsenal legend Ian Wright, who was a pundit alongside Ince, rekons Aubameyang is waiting on the Gunners’ promise to bring in quality around him.

“We’ve got a striker that is you have to say in the latter stages of his career, he’s in his best years and he’s signed them to Arsenal,” said Wright.

“Probably on the proviso that there will be players that come in to help him to take Arsenal to where they need to be to but that’s not happening at the moment.

“I’m sure that’s what Mikel wants to do but at the moment he can’t do it. He hasn’t got that money to spend to bring that player in to help as well and he’s trying to coach a team to help them play in a certain way to get results. Patience is needed for me.”
