Red Bull Salzburg forward Patson Daka has hinted that his move to Leicester City is close to completion.
The 22-year-old is one of the hottest strikers in Europe after hitting 27 goals in just 28 league games last season.
He’s been linked with a move to Salzburg’s partners RB Leipzig, but Leicester seem to have won the transfer race.

Speaking to Austrian outlet Krone Zeitung (via Sky Sports), Daka said: “I will go to England and move to Leicester City.
“I had a great time here, Salzburg has become my second home. I will always be happy to come back here, but the Premier League has always been my big dream.”
The Zambian international added to his league tally with five goals in six appearances in the Austrian Cup.
He also featured in the Champions League but failed to score as Salzburg came third in Group A with four points.
Daka has attracted plenty of interest from Liverpool due to his goalscoring exploits.
The player was thought to be keen on a £17million Anfield switch before Leicester came calling.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the forward will be announced as a Leicester player next week. He’s signed a major deal keeping him at the King Power until the summer of 2026.
Daka is widely expected to become Jamie Vardy‘s long-term successor in attack.
The former England international is nearing the end of his career and will be sorely missed by everyone at Leicester.
Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers will be hoping Daka can reduce the loss of Vardy when he decides to hang up his boots.
His form in recent seasons makes him an ideal strike partner for Kelechi Iheanacho going forward.
Iheanacho, despite having limited opportunities in previous seasons, made a name for himself in 2020/21.
He notched an impressive 19 goals in 39 games in all competitions. That record included 11 goals in his final 12 Premier League games of the campaign.
Daka suits Leicester’s transfer plan and could become their latest shrewd signing. The likes of Youri Tielemans, Timothy Castagne and Wesley Fofana have all increased their value under Rodgers.
