SPURS READY TO BIN PAIR
Tottenham might finally get rid of some deadwood this week. Turkish site TRT Spor believe that Georges-Kevin Nkoudou will be moving to Besiktas on loan – what a hole in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad that would leave – while The Express believe that Victor Wanyama, whose Premier League career seems to have finally been claimed by injury, might be on the way to Belgium and Club Brugge.
The slight problem is that would leave Tottenham with just 23 players to compete through a long season. Is that enough?
LEMINA TO LEAVE THE SAINTS
And while not exactly ‘deadwood’, Southampton seem set to finally complete the sale of Mario Lemina before the European window closes. Why the club are so eager to get rid of him is a bit of a mystery, but RMC Sport believe that he’ll be joining AS Monaco in the coming days.

No, us neither. Lemina will apparently spend a year on loan in France before completing a permanent transfer.
SUAREZ OUT OF BARCA?
The Sun speculate that, having missed out on Romelu Lukaku, Juventus might now be keen on Luis Suarez. Let’s emphasise ‘speculate’, because the story has been ripped from Italian side Tuttosport and their record isn’t exactly 100%.
The caveat is that it would depend on Neymar returning to Barcelona first, which still seems quite unlikely, but the club are apparently eager to shift Suarez in light of Antoine Griezmann’s arrival and their hope of still getting the best out of Ousmane Dembele. So could he follow another former Liverpool hero out of the door?
SANCHO GETS NEW DORTMUND DEAL
Jadon Sancho will sign a new £190,000-a-week contract at Borussia Dortmund, reports the Daily Mail. Adrian Kajumba notes the interest of Manchester City and Manchester United over the summer, as well as Paris Saint-Germain, but believes that Sancho will commit to the club long term – or at least make any attempt to take him away outrageously expensive.
JOVIC ALREADY DONE AT MADRID?
One of the stranger stories around Europe is Luka Jovic’s situation at Real Madrid. Those who followed Eintracht Frankfurt’s progress through the Europa League last season will remember just how lethal he was and how highly regarded he became – which led, of course, to Madrid paying £62m for him, and a whole queue of clubs willing to do the same given the opportunity.
But Zinedine Zidane doesn’t seem to rate him and the club are now desperately trying to shift him out on loan for a year. Gazzetta believe that could be to AC Milan in place of the now departed Patrick Cutrone, which sort of makes sense, but it’s still quite the fall from grace for Jovic, just two months after joining.
