Gossip: Man Utd to miss out on Sancho; Liverpool eye Barca flop

Man Utd might have some serious competition while Liverpool fancy borrowing Ousmane Dembele…
REAL PONDER SANCHO SWOOP
If Manchester United thought they had a free run at Jadon Sancho, they’ll be wary of whispers coming out of Real Madrid…
The Evening Standard reckons Los Blancos are giving some thought to joining the chase for Sancho should they fail to secure their primary targets this summer.
Real’s priorities centre around Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe but both the Borussia Dortmund centre-forward and PSG attacker seem highly unlikely to move on this year. Should they stay put, then Sancho has apparently caught the attention of the big hitters at the Bernabeu. And this latest report contradicts Wednesday’s whispers about a possible move for Sancho in a year.
Real have some cash to fritter away this summer but a move for Sancho could still depend on convincing Gareth Bale to give up his cushy number in Madrid. Florentino Perez may also be forced into spending just to keep up appearances should Barcelona strengthen in the way they would like to.

PSG SET NEYMAR PRICE
Barca’s dream scenario would involve Neymar returning to the Nou Camp from PSG this summer. And PSG may be willing to satisfy that desire… just as soon as Josep Bartomeu starts sh*tting money.
Sport says Barca have been told by PSG that Neymar would cost them £156million – and they aren’t interested in taking any cast-offs in part-exchange.
This is obviously a problem since everyone knows that Barca, like most other clubs, are having to wheel and deal this summer. But most other clubs aren’t talking about re-signing the world’s most expensive player while simultaneously holding a fire sale just to address other more pressing concerns in their squad.

LIVERPOOL AND JUVE EYE BARCA FLOP
One of the big names Barca are keen to cut adrift is Ousmane Dembele but should the France attacker leave the Nou Camp, it seems certain it will be on loan.
That, apparently, is a prospect Liverpool are willing to entertain. Indeed, Gianluca Di Marzio says the Reds have already made Barca an offer to borrow Dembele with an option to buy in a year.
Liverpool are not the only party interested in the Barca flop. Juventus too are keen and Mundo Deportivo reports that Dembele’s name has been brought up in discussions between the two clubs as they seek to swap deadwood.
AND THE REST
Man Utd’s efforts to offload Alexis Sanchez, Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo are likely to be hampered by the Covid-19 crisis… Newcastle have increased their contract offer to Matty Longstaff to £20,000 a week… Lazio are willing to listen to offers for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
