‘Furious’ Solskjaer set to ‘give away’ Man Utd man in January

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is prepared to sell Man Utd midfielder Paul Pogba in the January transfer window after Mino Raiola’s comments last week, according to reports in Italy.

Raiola caused a stir last week when he claimed Pogba was unhappy at Manchester United and “needs to change team”.

However, the France international later posted a message on Instagram suggesting he had no intention of going anywhere soon.

And Raiola softened his words over the weekend when he said it was unlikely Pogba would leave in January, with a summer move looking more likely.

Raiola hinted that the reaction to his initial comments was over the top, but he still believes a summer transfer for the 27-year-old is on the cards.

“When it comes to him in England they are sensitive, perhaps too sensitive,” Raiola was quoted as saying by Tuttosport at the Golden Boy Awards.

“In January, the big players hardly move, then in the summer let’s see what happens.”

Pogba’s future has been an almost constant source of speculation for the last couple of seasons, and reports are currently linking him with a return to Juventus.

And now Sky Sport journalist Massimo Marianella claims that Solskjaer was so ‘furious’ with Raiola’s comments that he will try to get Pogba out the door in January.

“Solskjaer is furious at Raiola’s words. I’m convinced that Manchester United won’t wait until the summer to sell him, if they have the chance they’ll give him away in January,” Marianella said on Sky Sport (via Sport Witness).

“Juventus is a real opportunity, the Frenchman has a special feeling with the black and white shirt.”
