Well, it’s Groundhog Day… Again.
We hope you’re not sick of Brock Lesnar, because the so-called Beast Incarnate is back, and he’s your brand new Money in the Bank briefcase winner.
Yes, you read that right. Despite not being advertised in the match, or even heard from since dropping the WWE Universal Championship to Seth Rollins at WrestleMania, Lesnar made a surprise return to the ring this Sunday night at WWE Money in the Bank and snuck his way into the main event ladder match.
Earlier in the night, Sami Zayn was found hanging upside down backstage, having obviously been brutally assaulted by someone. While WWE played it up like Braun Strowman was the culprit, and Triple H even had the Monster Among Men escorted from the building, it all turned out to be an elaborate ruse.

After seven other men competed in a hard-fought and hellacious ladder match for more than 20 minutes, Lesnar marched to the ring to fill the spot of the 8th man, climbed a ladder, and secured the briefcase. Great job, killer. You really earned that one.
The interesting question now is, with the Superstar Shakeup behind us and Lesnar not specifically tied to one brand or another, is it a guarantee that he must cash-in the contract on the WWE Universal Championship? Could he potentially take his talents to Smackdown and challenge for the WWE Championship?
Time will tell, but it’s potentially worth pointing out that WrestleVotes recently reported that Lesnar is set to challenge Seth Rollins for the Universal title in just a few week’s time at the upcoming WWE Super Showdown event in Saudi Arabia, and while that match is still unconfirmed, it looks like we may not have long to wait.
