Corentin Tolisso’s agent has dismissed rumours linking his client with a move to Manchester United.
Former United star Rafael da Silva talked up a potential switch to United for his former Lyon teammate Tolisso, after reports in France claimed the Frenchman was in talks with the Old Trafford club over a potential £31million switch.
Speaking of the report, da Silva wrote on Twitter : “One of the best midfielder I play with, I think will be perfect for Manchester United. Hope he goes there.”
But Tolisso’s representative, Eric Castagnino, was quick to dash any hopes of a switch from Bayern Munich.
“I’m not having any talks with Manchester United,” Castagnino told Sky Germany, via the Mirror. “Corentin is currently injured and his return to the pitch is currently a top priority.”
Tolisso is currently ruled out until June 30 following surgery on his ankle, which will keep him out of Bayern’s remaining Bundesliga fixtures.
But he could return to feature in the Champions League, should the competition get back under way as expected in the coming months.
