Banks Follows AEW on Twitter, Batista’s New Film, Kai Injury News

Sasha Banks’ future in WWE now appears to be in serious doubt. Banks is a former NXT Women’s Champion, Raw Women’s Champion, and Women’s Tag Team Champion, but she reportedly asked to be let go from WWE earlier this week. Banks has not made any public appearances for WWE over the past few days, and fans have noticed that she has now unfollowed the company on Twitter. Not only is Banks no longer following WWE or Vince McMahon online, but she has begun following the official accounts for All Elite Wrestling, Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega, and more. Banks is currently under contract to WWE and cannot appear for any other wrestling promotion until her deal with the company comes to an end.
Batista has just landed another big movie role for himself this week. According to a report from Collider, the former world champion is set to star in a film called “Killer’s Games” for STXfilms. Batista plays Joe Flood, who calls on assassins to kill him after learning that he is dying. He is later told by doctors that he is actually in perfect health, leaving him with no choice but to battle numerous enemies. Batista competed in his first wrestling match in five years this past Sunday when he lost to Triple H at WrestleMania 35. After the match was over, Batista confirmed that he is now retired from pro wrestling. Batista now has numerous Hollywood projects lined up for him, including the “Avengers: Endgame” and “Stuber” films coming out later in the year.
It has been a while since New Zealand wrestler Dakota Kai has appeared on NXT. Kai has been out with a knee injury over the past few month, but is recovering nicely at the moment. She posted a message on her Twitter account this week informing fans that she has resumed jogging. This is usually a positive sign for somebody with a knee injury, but Kai may still have a few more months left to go until she can compete in a ring again. Kai had been building momentum on NXT prior to her injury, and she was even involved in a feud with NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler on NXT television. Hopefully, it shouldn’t take too much longer for Dakota Kai to recover and then get back to delivering the kicks that she has become known for on NXT.
