Arsenal ‘increasingly resigned’ to losing Aubameyang

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s wage demands are reportedly leaving Arsenal resigned to selling their star player this summer.
Aubameyang, who has scored 20 goals for the Gunners this season – twice as many as any of his team-mates – is asking for £300,000 a week to sign a new deal, according to the Daily Mail.
With Arsenal struggling to afford what represents a 30% increase on his current wages and his contract set to expire next summer, the Mail say Arsenal are ‘increasingly resigned’ to cashing in this summer rather than risk losing the Gabon international for nothing in 2021.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta this week urged the Gunners to get Aubameyang’s contract sorted.
“We will have to do that at some stage before the end of the season for sure and we will see the intentions that we have (and) his intentions,” Arteta said.
“Where we are sitting in (the table at) that moment. I think it is difficult to predict that context right now. For me it is very easy. I want to keep him under any circumstances.”
