Arsenal given boost as Lyon alter £55m Aouar transfer demands

Arsenal have been given hope in their bid to sign top transfer target Houssem Aouar with Lyon reportedly altering their transfer demands.

The Ligue 1 club have until now been demanding £55million for the midfielder, but are now said to be willing to accept £41million with potential add-ons, according to ESPN.

Arsenal’s highest offer thus far is thought to be in the region of £35million.

But, they will need to act quickly if they want to secure the deal, with other clubs circling.

RMC Sport claim Juventus made contact with Lyon earlier this week, affirming their interest in the 22-year-old.

The Gunners will likely have to sell before they can add to their squad – particularly if they also want to land Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid – and may have to hasten the exits of some unwanted stars to do so.

Sead Kolasinac and Sokratis Papastathopoulos are thought to be among the players Mikel Arteta would be willing to let leave the Emirates.
