Womenswear designer Aimee McWilliams is about to launch her new awaited collection. McWilliams graduated from Central Saint Martins and took home the L’Oreal Total Look Award which was photographed for British Vogue and The Face Magazine.
The young designer born in 1980 and raised between Glasgow and London decided to focus on launching her label based in London. Her designs are decadent and indulgent, with a sensual aesthetic power and intelligent femininity. With a heavy focus on tailoring, the collection features silhouettes of dramatic femininity.
To create a contemporary feel, McWilliams works with digitally printed fabrics, and uses techniques such as laser cutting to embellish these garments. Her current work also has a select range of accessories. Belts, gloves and socks all designed in sophisticated black leather embellished with fur or chiffon.
