Though it may seem hard to believe, as recently as two years ago, the high school students of Charleston, Mississippi (population 2,198), still attended segregated proms—one for black pupils, one for white, each privately planned and funded by their parents.

What a great question! Here are the basics, the essentials, about Launch ‘09.

I’m so confused! When is the Pulse Parties Launch ’09?
Launch is on Saturday, 11/21, beginning at 7 p.m.

But the Valley is so big! Where do I go???
Launch is at Red Mountain MGC on Adobe Rd.

How much does it cost???
The cost is $20.00 You read that right -- $20!!! Less than a Bad Movie, short game of Mini Golf or a cheesy DJ at your Homecoming!

Can I bring friends???
Yes if they are 18 & under only - The event is geared toward high school students, and that’s who we want to come. Only high school students can enter the venue & win door prizes.

What? There are prizes?? ? Tell me more!
Yes prizes will be awarded randomly to attendees; you gotta be in it to win it!

Are Prizes the Only reason to come???
No way! There will be a Club DJ rocking the main floor all night long! Also 2 Huge MTV Screens will be there, plus photographers & other concessions! Oh and 100’s of other teens to dance with and meet!
What if I get thirsty?
We do have various concession stands available!

Anything else cool???
That depends. Crazy Club Setups and Banging Bass? Photobooths, Mtv Video Screens, Professional Event Photographers? How about Scottsdale Club Djs? And emcees from NYC and                                         1,000 other teenagers from across the Valley? If so, then your answer is YES.

Who We Are:

 

Pulse Parties is a new promotion and event company in the Mesa/Scottsdale area.  We create and promote events specifically for the High School age group.  Our objective is to provide a fun and safe environment for high school students to meet, dance, and party free from drugs and alcohol.  We use state of the art entertainment, sound, and lighting to give our guests the experience unlike anything else available to teens in the Phoenix area.

 

Who We Are Looking For:

 

Pulse Parties is looking for active, vibrant, positive high school students.  We train all our staff from the ground up so no experience is necessary to join our team.  If you are active in athletics, student government, or several clubs and organizations on campus you are a good fit for us.  And you do have to like to party.  Our team members must have reliable transportation.  This does not mean you need to have a driver’s license but if you say you are going to be somewhere we expect you to be there.

Videographers

MCs (Master of Ceremonies//Hype Men)

Win the Ultimate Prom (WUP) is an online contest that awards one high school $25,000 to produce the Ultimate Prom. WintheUltimateProm.com is also an interactive, content-rich website full of blogs, articles and tips on living prom all year long.

 

During a two month period from, October 1 through November 30, high schools nationwide will compete to win the $25,000 grand prize. Students recruit family, friends and community members to vote for their school by registering and voting once a day, every day at WintheUltimateProm.com. The school with the most cumulative votes at the end of the contest wins the $25,000.

 

This year, more schools will win!  In addition to the $25K grand prize, WUP has partnered with GradCity, Awesome Club Prom and Buzz Free Prom to award even more prizes.  The second place school will receive an Awesome Club Prom Package valued at $5,000.  BuzzFree Prom, a nonprofit organization promoting safe and sober proms, will give the top 100 schools a BuzzFree Prom Kit valued at $200 each.  GradCity, the Nation's Ultimate Travel Experience for Students, will host mini contests rewarding participating schools and individuals with additional prizes.
