The type of catering hall you choose will affect almost every
other decision you make in your prom planning process.
When deciding on a site for your event, you need to consider the venue location, size, & cost, as well as the number of people who will be attending prom.
Food & Drink
Will you require the Hall to serve a social/cocktail hour? serve a buffet or formal dinner? Serve drinks? All these will affect where you can choose & how much per person the hall will cost.
Distance
The location should be within 1 hour of your school/hometown so guests & limos don’t have too far to drive, but make having a limo worth it!
Hall Size
The site should be big enough to hold the number of guests that you expect to attend. But NOT too large - it is better to have the correct size room then one to large for your crowd - because the room will look less empty then!
Other
Ask in advance about security, parking, and drop off areas. Most locations, you will have to book the site a year in advance.
